OK, so it's like someone punched me in the head. I have been developing for a long time and what I did not focus on was SEO. Why? Because I'm really stupid... I don't know, perhaps because when I started developing it was 1993 and SEO for the most part did not exist.
Just another day in Bangkok

Just wanted to say hi
well I noticed I had not posted to this blog for along time.. So, now I have
Bomb scare in Bangkok
I was in a friends home on Sukhumwit soi 12 this evening which is located in downtown Bangkok in the central business district. I was there for an hour when my friends got several calls from their neighbours stating that there was a bomb alert for soi 12 and that it was slated to go off at 8 pm. The current time was 7 pm. Their father had called from Pattaya and said he heard of the threat and stated that he wanted his family to leave Bangkok and go to Pattaya immediately. To say the least I was concerned as I live 15 kilometers away in the north. So with out further hesitation I left. Well, the streets were packed and traffic was at a stand still, perhaps the worse I have seen in Bangkok and I have seen some really bad traffic situations here. My drive home was bumper to bumper the entire way. No bomb went off. So goes my Friday evening during the third night of the coup.

OK, So there is no curfew and there is no halt in communications. All in all things seem to be relatively normal for being under marshall law which ultimately means group of 6 or more are illegal on the streets....
As far as Thai sentiment, Thai's for the most part tend to be happy about this coup and feel there is a brighter day ahead for them. I truely hope so but I have my concerns as a coup in any democratic nation is kind of like a step backwards... but as always, you can not elude the greatest of all tests, the test of time, time reveals all!

So there are lots of soldiers and tanks in the streets of Bangkok. There are road blocks set up on some of the main roads and I only seen three police today instead of the usually 2 or 3 thousand.
As far a normality, there seem to be some confusion of whether there are curfews or whatever. I was told there is a nine o'clock curfew and had to cut early to get home. As well, I am also under the impression that all communications will be shut down for the evening at 10:30 now why this would be done is beyond me but it is yet to be seen.
I will post events as they happen.

Thailand coup d'etete Sept 20 2006
I went for a jog around my neighbourhood at 12:30 am to see how things appeared. All was quiet, uncannily quiet, even the soi dogs were not barking and chasing me. So, I figured why not take a drive around on my bike with a video camera in tow. It's quite difficult to drive a bike and take video at the same time. Mistake! At first I took video of whatever I saw. What I saw was multiple tanks at every intersection, armoured vehicles, gun mounted jeeps and 50 soldiers at ever intersection. I have never seen so many tanks. I must have seen over 20 tanks and I only drove two miles before I thought I better get back home. As I head back I was taking video and stoped at a red light, btw, all lights were red! at one intersection soldiers saw my camera and approached me, guns aimed at me. I freaked and I quickly offered them my tape hoping they would not take my video camera. They checked my video bag for more tapes. I had only brought two with me. One in the camera and one I had stashed in my pants. When they were sure I had no more tapes they let me continue home. 300 meters down the road I loaded my video camera again. This time I knew if I got caught again I would probably have a bigger problem than last time. So I tried to take hidden footage. Which I did but the footage is really bad and you can't really make out stuff... Sorry. As I drove around taxi drivers gave me the thumbs up and said "Thaksin" and put their wrists together as if in handcuffs. I will venture out again tomorrow and see if I can get some good stuff.
3 am on Sunday night
well it's Sunday night and it's time to go to bed. I just finished a new video and its got some cool music set to it...
take a look
